Equine Health Schemes

We offer an annual visit, usually coinciding with vaccination, to perform a full clinical examination, orthopaedic examination, dental examination and treat accordingly. A blood sample is taken and examined at our in house laboratory. A discussion of diet and exercise regimes with your goals in mind and together a plan will be made to help realise your aims.

This often includes advice on any aspect of complementary treatment required. The worming programme is discussed at this time together with in house faecal egg counts and taking in to account the worming history. The information received from this overall health examination is recorded and a report issued. In subsequent annual visits the plan will be revisited and reassessed. The aim is to maintain optimum health and performance and to prevent problems where possible.

With an ageing horse population that is remaining competitive, this scheme is proving very popular.
